Here are some of the services that we provide:
STONE CLEANING
We undertake water & soft brush clean – nebular cleaning – jos system – wet blast and power clean.
STONE REPAIRS & RESTORATION COATING
There are many ways to repair stone / epoxy; stone patches, reco stone, dove tail inset, Dutchmen repairs (cutting out damaged areas then introducing cut/carved stone inset), fixed with epoxy and stainless steel fixing. Our craftsmen look into every detail to obtain a sympathetic repair.
STONE FABRICATION & PROCUREMENT (MATCH TO EXISTING)
To have an authentic repair or rebuild we often source old stone from our yard/quarry to achieve a sympathetic repair or in some cases to rebuild an addition to existing building that matches the fabric of the building.
NEW STONE
We can supply and fix new detailed stone of different texture/quality. Cut, dressed, or carved to the clients design.
STONE SCULPTURE RESTORATION & REPAIRS
Chip repairs, repair broken sections, supply new carved sections and resecure/redefine worn areas to bring back the original definition.
GARGOYLES & PLAQUES
Reproduction of original carved pieces, repairs (replace missing sections).
WINDOW MULLIONS (STONE & PRECAST)
We have replaced with stone or in many cases re-cast in moulds, mullions that (particularly Victorian era) made to look as stone but were pre-cast material. Repairs can be of resin, reco stone mix, stone patches to match.
LISTED BUILDINGS & CHURCH RESTORATION
With experience of church restoration gained over the last 30 years hands on work, we pride ourselves on getting the required result, within the boundaries of current regulations and working with the client / Heritage / Conservation bodies to get the finished product at the right price, on budget and ON TIME.
TERRACOTTA REPAIRS & RESTORATION
This material requires careful attention due to colour and repair detail. We use a compatible repair material to obtain the best result.
BUILDING FABRIC / STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
Taking down to rebuild sections of an existing building can at best be fraught with problems. We have over the years undertaken projects of this kind. From sectional repairs to the taking down and rebuild one side of a church, Grade 1 & 2 listed houses (including a castle).
STONE RESURFACING & REFURBISHING
We carry a large range of equipment to refurbish stone work, machine finish, and honing and reseal surface work.
STONE WORK REPOINTING
Lime mix, lime mortar, lime putty, stone mix, mortar mix, with brushed or rolled finish.
RECO STONE RESTORATION
Stone dust repairs can be very effective and cost efficient. We are able to undertake small repair or render areas to give an effect of stone panels. For repairing small areas this method works well when properly applied.
